About Me

Welcome!

My name is Morgan.

I am a single parent to two, beautiful little ones.

My son, Ryan, is 6 years old and my daughter, Belle is 3.

We are a pretty typical little family, but in many ways, we are quite unique!

Why We Stand Out!

Many people have found interest in us simply because of our differences.

For one thing, I am an older mama.

I am over 40 years old and I am getting older everyday!

My age alone leaves people saying, “Dang, girl! I don’t know how you do it!”

And, “How do you pick up and carry those kids?! I can’t even get myself up off the floor!”

I am certainly not a young, spring chicken anymore.

But my drive and motivation to love and to care for my children help me to do what I need to do every day.

The fact that I am an older mama means I have had more life experiences.

This has helped me to learn how to parent in unique and unconventional ways that work out best for us.

As you age, you learn that certain things just don’t matter much anymore.

For one thing, we don’t do the “fall back” time change.

When everyone turns their clocks back an hour in the fall, we just simply don’t.

I have learned that the time change throws the kids and I off, so we just simply don’t do it.

And life has been better ever since!

We still follow Covid protocol.

We still wear masks.

And social distance.

We stay home, for the most part.

My children have immune issues, so we have to.

Given that, my children are homeschooled.

Some people bulk about that, but I embrace it.

They are learning more at home than they would be at school.

And, there is another difference between us and most other single parent families:

Both of my children have special needs.

This makes life extra challenging and interesting, to say the least!

The Eye Opener!

Lastly…

(And this seems to be the kicker…)

Both of my children were conceived with donor sperm.

That’s right!

This mama went to the bank!

Same sperm, so they are truly siblings!

No daddy in the picture.

Only my name on their birth certificates.

Yeah, it causes a bit of a hiccup when I’m dealing with legal aspects.

Such as trying to get passports.

“What do you mean there’s no dad?” says the passport agent.

Mm.

Yeah.

Things like that.

But life is all good!

Sum it All Up!

All of these unique and distinctive experiences have made me into the mama that I am today:

Experienced.

Prepared.

Focused.

Patient.

And a damn good advocate!

Now, please don’t ask me to wake up at the crack of dawn with a smile on my face.

Nor make a 4-course dinner with all the trimmings every night.

There is a list of things that just are not my cup of tea.

But I can be ready for just about any other challenge that parenting may throw my way!

All Systems Go!

So, my dear readers….

Are you ready to learn how to be the most equipped and efficient parent on the block?

Come on then!

Let’s get this show on the road!

P.S.

I want you to know that what I write here is honest and true.

I don’t allow AI to generate any of my works.

What you get truly comes from this mama’s heart.

I think that words and information have more meaning when it comes from the person, himself.

While AI is new and upcoming, it can never take the place of personal writings, thoughts and feelings.

This mama only gives the very best of herself to those she cares about:

And that’s all of you, my friends!

Much love to you all!
